Dr Phillip McGeorge is the Director of Surgery at Perth Laser Vision with over twenty five years experience in Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery. He was born in Western Australia and he is married with two adult children.

Dr McGeorge graduated from the medical school at the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery in 1981. He went on to complete his Ophthalmologist specialist training in Perth in 1990 with the award of Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists.

He entered specialist private practice in 1991 and worked to develop Murdoch Eye Centre into a multi subspeciality eye surgery centre providing services in cataract, glaucoma and refractive surgery.

Dr McGeorge developed an interest in refractive surgery using a first generation Excimer laser and, seeing the benefits LASIK offered to improve refractive surgery, completed a fellowship in LASIK in 1997. He has been performing LASIK refractive surgery since 1997 and has since written and developed the curriculum for specialists training in this field in Australia.
